Susannah Fox presented the latest research on how mobile, social technologies are transforming health and health care in the U.S. She also discussed the Pew Research Center’s global findings regarding the popularity of social networking sites in countries such as Britain, Russia, the Czech Republic and Spain and the ubiquity of cell phones in countries such as Jordan, Turkey, China, and Japan.
The theme of the 2013 symposium sponsored by the NIH HIV/AIDS Clinical Trials Networks was “Threading the Needle” and was held in conjunction with three other organizations’ meetings in Washington, DC, that week: the HIV Vaccine Trials Network, the HIV Prevention Trials Network, and the International Maternal Pediatric Adolescent AIDS Clinical Trials Group.
