More adults who regularly go online are using Twitter on a daily basis.

According to the latest data from the Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project, 15% of adults online use Twitter and 8% say they do so on a typical day.

The overall number of adult internet users who say they use Twitter changed little between May 2011 – when it was 13% – and March 2012. But the percentage of people who say they use it on a typical day rose from 4% to 8%. In November 2010, 8% of adults online said they used Twitter and just 2% said they did so on a typical day.
