There is a consensus among Latinos about who is the group’s national leader in the Unitized State: there is not one. Asked an open-ended question to name the person they consider “the most important Latino leader in the country today,” fully 64% said they did not know and an additional 10% specifically said “no one.” The most frequently named individual was Sonia Sotomayor (7% named her).
