Eight in ten internet users have looked online for information on at least one of 16 health topics, with increased interest since 2002 in diet, fitness, drugs, health insurance, experimental treatments, and particular doctors and hospitals.

Fifty-three million American adults, or 44% of internet users and one-quarter of all adults, now say they use online banking.

By the end of 2004 blogs had established themselves as a key part of online culture: 7% of U.S. internet users say they have created blogs and 27% say they are blog readers.

54 million U.S. internet users have used the internet to take a virtual tour of another locale.
