This survey focused on identity, changes in racial identification overtime, parents’ views about Hispanicity, advantages and disadvantages of being Hispanic, political views, assimilation and the economy. The survey analysis was published in conjunction with the 2015 National Survey of Latinos in the report “Hispanic Identity Fades Across Generations as Immigrant Connections Fall Away,” which explored attitudes and experiences about Hispanic identity among U.S. adults who self-identify as Hispanic and U.S. adults who indicated they had Hispanic ancestry but did not consider themselves Hispanic.
