Pew Research Center’s international methods team ensures that all cross-national and multicultural projects we conduct continue to meet the highest standards of data quality and representativeness, including the Center’s annual Global Attitudes Project, its initiatives on global views of science and scientists, our research on the mobile technology divide in emerging economies, and religious views across Europe.
We are actively involved in each stage of the research process from project design to fieldwork implementation to data-quality assessments, leveraging in-country expertise by collaborating with reputable social research organizations. We balance the unique conditions within each country surveyed – such as local languages, access to technology and cultural considerations – by harmonizing these differences so our cross-national reporting is based on reliable, comparable data.
Our international survey experts engage the public by sharing innovative research through the Decoded blog on topics such as question wording and mode transitions as well as through our Methods 101 video series and professional conferences throughout each year.
